Direct ABA Therapy at Home, School, and in the Community

Real-Life Learning Through a Culturally Sensitive Lens

At California Behavioral Treatment Center, we bring therapy to where life happens — your home, your child’s school, and your community. Our Direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy is designed to help children develop critical life skills in familiar settings where they feel safe and supported. Just as importantly, our approach is deeply rooted in cultural sensitivity, ensuring that every child’s unique identity, family values, language, and traditions are honored throughout the therapeutic process.

We believe effective behavior change doesn’t just happen in a clinic — it happens in the real world, guided by people who truly understand your child’s cultural environment and daily routines.

What is Direct ABA Therapy?

Direct ABA Therapy is a one-on-one service delivered by a highly trained Behavior Interventionist (BI), under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Therapy sessions focus on:

  • Teaching communication, social, and self-help skills

  • Reducing problematic behaviors through positive reinforcement

  • Promoting independence in everyday tasks

What makes our approach unique is that we provide these services in natural environments, where learning is more engaging, functional, and sustainable — and where families play an active role in supporting progress.

Therapy That Reflects Your Culture and Values

We recognize that every family has a different view of what learning, discipline, and success look like. That’s why our team:

  • Listens to your family’s needs and goals

  • Considers your preferred language, communication style, and parenting approach

  • Uses culturally relevant reinforcers and teaching methods

  • Adjusts therapy goals to fit your family’s expectations and routines

Our culturally responsive model helps children not only develop new skills — but do so in a way that makes sense in their world.
