Parent & Caregiver Training
Empowering Families with Culturally Sensitive Guidance
At California Behavioral Treatment Center, we know that parents and caregivers are central to a child’s success. Our Parent & Caregiver Training service is designed to empower families with practical, evidence-based strategies to manage behaviors and support their child’s development—while remaining fully grounded in your family’s culture, traditions, and values.
We don’t just teach methods—we partner with you to understand what works best in your home, with your child, and in your unique family dynamic.
What is Parent & Caregiver Training?
Parent & Caregiver Training is a structured ABA-based service where our clinicians teach you how to:
Understand the reasons behind your child’s behaviors
Use positive reinforcement effectively
Set up consistent routines and expectations
Prevent and respond to challenging behaviors
Promote long-term skill development
This training is collaborative and interactive, offering coaching, modeling, role-play, and real-life practice to help you apply strategies with confidence.

Rooted in Cultural Sensitivity
We know that parenting practices vary across cultures, and that families bring their own strengths and wisdom to the table. That’s why our team takes the time to:
Learn about your family’s values, beliefs, and parenting style
Understand any religious, linguistic, or traditional practices that influence behavior management
Adjust strategies to fit your home routines, customs, and communication preferences
Support families with special circumstances such as multi-generational households or language barriers
Our goal is to equip you with tools that feel natural, respectful, and effective in your everyday life.
